Harold J. "Butch" Jacob

TRIMONT - Harold J. "Butch" Jacob, age 70, of Trimont, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Monday, February 17, 2025.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held for Butch from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM with a time of memory sharing at 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center - Trimont Chapel, (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176).

Burial will take place at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery near Oakdale, Nebraska.

Harold J. “Butch” Jacob, was born on October 22, 1954, to Ervin and Augusta (Klawitter) Jacob in Neligh, Nebraska. He attended school in Elgin, Nebraska, and graduated with the class of 1975. In his early career, Butch built pallets for D & D Industries in Madison, Nebraska before moving to Minnesota. After moving to Minnesota, Butch worked for Wakefield Pork doing farrowing and maintenance.

Butch enjoyed spending as much time outdoors as he could, whether he was fishing, camping with his family, or riding ATV’s. He was a man of few words, and a very hard worker.

Butch is survived by his sons, Kelly (Steph) Jacob, Lee Jacob, Jeremy Johnson; grandchildren, Connor Schreiner, Preston Danielson, Rebecca Danielson, Brynn Johnson, and Sabrina Johnson; sisters, Margaret (Roy) McDonald, Elsie Jones, Betty Walker; brother, Eli (Carla) Jacob; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Augusta; brothers, Ervin “Bud” Jacob Jr., Louie “Jake” Jacob; sisters, Elvera Lewis, Darlene Peterson, Hazel Hoefer, Luella Simpson, and Joyce Daniels; several nieces and nephews; and high school friend, Doug Buffington.
