Understanding Funeral Pricing

Funeral prices are broken down into three categories, each of which goes into calculating the overall cost of a funeral. At the conclusion of your arrangement conference with the funeral director, you will be provided with a "Statement of Funeral Goods & Services Selected" which outlines each selection your family has made to arrive at the overall cost of the funeral or memorial.

To better help families understand these categories before you come into the funeral home to make arrangements, we've provided explanations below:

  • Professional Services include the professional and technical services of our staff, use of our facilities, equipment and full fleet of professional funeral automobiles.

  • Merchandise is the category of items such as caskets, urns, alternative cremation containers, outer burial containers, memorial stationery, headstones and other tangible goods we sell you.

  • Cash Advance Items are things that we procure and/or pay for on your behalf ahead of the service and include on your statement. This category includes items such as certified death certificates, paid obituary announcements, honorariums for service participants (such as clergy, organist/pianist, vocalist, etc.), flowers, catering, and cemetery expenses.

When exploring funeral costs, please remember that the accurate cost of your family's wishes is arrived at when the total of all three categories above are combined.

Professional Services + Merchandise + Cash Advances = Total Price of Funeral

When comparing pricing between funeral homes or cremation providers, we encourage you to look at the whole picture and not just the lowest advertised price. We are always available to discuss pricing with you and help your family arrive at a realistic estimate of the costs involved for any funeral, memorial, cremation or burial that your family may wish to arrange.

Our Commitment to Transparency

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Funeral Rule requires that price information be disclosed to all consumers who ask through the use of the General Price List, Casket Price List and Outer Burial Container Price List.

Currently, there is no FTC requirement that funeral homes make this information available online. However, as part of our commitment to being transparent, open and honest with every family that calls upon us, we clearly and accurately disclose our pricing information online so that you can review all of our prices, products and services from the comfort of your own home.

Our Price Lists

By clicking the PDF files linked below, you will be able to view our current price lists, (General Price List, Package Pricing, Casket Price List, Urn Price List, and Outer Burial Container Price List). The effective date of our price list will always be listed on each specific price list.

Package prices do not include merchandise (unless otherwise noted), sales tax or cash advance items. You are not required to use all items offered within a package, and can pick and choose whichever services desired from our General Price List.

Payment Arrangements

Losing a loved one is an incredibly painful and emotionally challenging experience. It often comes at a time when survivors are least prepared, both emotionally and financially, and can severely impact one's judgment. We firmly believe in the significance of acknowledging and celebrating a life that has been lived, and we are committed to assisting you in creating a meaningful service that meets your unique needs.

We also recognize the importance of being practical when it comes to funeral expenses, ensuring that they align with your family's budget while still honoring your wishes. To maintain fairness in this regard, we engage in discussions and reach agreements on payment terms during the arrangement process. Our payment options include cash and check, which do not incur any processing fees, as well as credit cards, which have a 3% fee added to the total amount charged. Additionally, we accept life insurance assignments.

We want to emphasize that we have never turned away a family based on their ability to pay, and we genuinely appreciate your openness in discussing financial matters. Our commitment is to work with you, if necessary, to arrive at terms that are fair and mutually agreeable to all parties involved during this challenging time.
